Interdisciplinary Methodological Approaches to Legal Studies

Research Group

This research group aims to provide a foundational understanding of the different methodological techniques that can be used in legal research. These techniques can serve and inform a legal analysis, either normative or descriptive, while supporting legal reasoning with real-world evidence.

The models and techniques are illustrated in an accessible language with an emphasis on unwrapping the single methodologies and the issues with each one of them. The approach of this book is to enlighten young scholars’ path in choosing a legal methodology that can be useful for their own research while understanding its limitations. Further, our aim is to foster collaborative research with scholars from other disciplines, by providing a foundational understanding of different methodologies and tools for interdisciplinary research.

Additional tips will be provided regarding resources and databases that can ease the process of research and provide accessible software for legal scholars.
